1)Zebra is a 3 piece melodic rock band comprised of Randy Jackson (vocals/guitars), Guy Gelso (drums), and Felix Hanemann (bass/keyboards). Originally formed in 1975 in New Orleans, Zebra developed legendary status in two “hometown” areas (Louisiana and Long Island), but are woefully under-appreciated in much of the remaining rock world. The band was initially compared to Led Zeppelin and Rush due to their first releases “Tell Me What You Want” and “Who’s Behind the Door” off their debut album. They also garnered this initial reputation because they started their career playing covers from both of these classic bands. They later developed their own sound due to the incredible range of Randy Jackson on vocals.

    Big thanks to guys from Dream Theater for introducing me to this band. Sad though, that we are living in times when commercial stuff like Lady Gaga has more listens per day, that great bands like Zebra overall. Very sad to be precise...

    I Want to apologise ... Maybe I came on a little strong ,And I certainly Don`t want to Ruin anyones listening experience or Detract someones feelings toward a song,LP,or Artist Though I Doubt very much that would happen! I Love A LOT of different Bands and keep discovering new ones ,and older ones that slipped through the cracks, Not Enough Money to buy LP.s, No Internet ,and 0 Airplay in my conservative town .. And I Guess I may be a Tad too Opinionated . I will try to tone it down in the future...

    Zebra Is a great rock band , But Second only to Rush ? Come on open your ears And surf Some more...Obviously You!ve never listened to Pendragon (Progresive Symphonic,Theatrical) ,Ozric Tentacles(psycadelic ,Electronic,Mind F#$@ing music) With some of the most awesome Guitar Riffs on the planet . Please don`t Get Me Wrong I Like Zebra A Lot ! I`ve played Take your Fingers From My Hair about a Million times ,(only about 60% exaggeration) But while they are Good they`re not in the same League As Rush,Pendragon,Ozric Tentacles,Or even Saga.. Remember Saga anyone? Got Darn near Everything they did on CD And That took some time... OH Well ...Rock ON Zebra!!!!
