2) A Scottish Christian rock band
3) A Brazilian black metal band
4) Italian eurobeat group
5) A Czech RAC band
6) A Danish band playing random music

1. Triumph is a rock band which formed in 1975 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The band was formed by Rik Emmett (vocals, guitar), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards) and Gil Moore (drums). Eight of the band’s albums were certified gold or higher, and Triumph was nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including Group of the Year Award in 1979, 1985, 1986 and 1987. They are best known for their hit singles “Hold On” and “Somebody’s Out There”.

Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga, Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early to mid 1980s. In 1988, singer Rik Emmett left for a solo career and the band split in 1993. The original lineup of the band re-united in 2008.

2. A Scottish Christian rock band who released at least three albums. They were later known as Triumph UK to distinguish themselves from the above band.
Discography:
* 1986 Triumph
* 1987 Don’t Look Back
* 1989 Cry Freedom

    One of the best bands ever, with one of the best guitarists ever in Rik Emmett! Back in the 80's Guitar Magazine labeled Rik as the best. I went to a concert to see him on his own a few years back, and there were other guitarists from other (not mentioning names) bands there in marvel at what he could do.

    I also have to join TrueBlood4ever in agreeing with Saje3d's shout on the Rush/Triumph comparison. It was right on. I'm a fan of both. Rik Emmitt was classically trained as you can tell from his short yet complex compositions. Geddy Lee , also classically trained, is still one of my fav bassist. And until Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater came on the scene, nobody could touch Neal Peart on drums except the late great jazz phenom Buddy Rich. Triumph has a harder sound in my opinion while Rush sticks to, as she said, the complex sound of Progressive Rock. Might as well compare apples and oranges.

    Kick ass band in concert. Nothing like playing some Triumph on an old school 2 channel stereo, especially to "When The Lights Go Down".
