(1995 – 2010)

Von Thronstahl are a German martial-industrial, neoclassical and neofolk band founded in 1995 by Catholic brothers Bernhard and Josef Wilhelm Maria Klumb.
In 2011 Josef Klumb announced on the Von Thronstahl website that since autumn 2010 the band is no more, but said also that there is still the possibility of a comeback someday.

Their music incorporates bombastic Wagnerian arrangements, neofolk-style acoustic guitar riffs, martial/industrial rhythms and sometimes also industrial rock elements.

The group has been often accused of propagating racist and fascist political views through their lyrics and appearances, which they combine with fascism-related imagery such as runes and the sigil of the black sun on album covers and during live performances. The politics expressed in their music is very controversial; they wish to have the EU abolished and return to an imperialistic Europe.
