Vektor is a progressive thrash metal band, originally formed in Arizona in 2004 but relocated to Philadelphia in mid-2012 and currently based there. They released their debut full length "Black Future" in November 2009, and the follow up "Outer Isolation" in December 2011 (both on Heavy Artillery Records, now defunct). These albums were re-released when the band joined Earache Records, and the band continued sporadically performing and touring in 2012 and 2013 with the likes of Napalm Death, Municipal Waste… read more

  • Unlike other bands, Vektor's music is so rich itself that they don't need to improve their style and try new things yet. That's what's incredible about them. They need another two albums in the same style that Outer Isolation and Black Future.
  • @Schander Not that keen on the title personally. As far as the album goes, I'm not sure what to expect from them. I really want them to try new things as well, but the new tune isn't bad at all, even if it's very much like their earlier stuff. They do have their own thing going well for them though and I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing to have one more album in a very similar vein.

  • Pretty odd that two entirely different metal bands are planning to drop a release around the same period of time, sharing almost exactly the same name. Aborted's "Termination Redux" and Vektor's "Terminal Redux"... or am I missing something?

  • Vektor is so good 5 other prog thrash bands commited suicide by the time they released their 3rd album.
