The Word Alive is a six-piece post-hardcore band from Phoenix, Arizona, United States. This band is formerly Calling of Syrens. In March 2009, they signed to Fearless Records and released a 6 song EP on July 21st. The Word Alive released their debut full length album on August 31, 2010.

I'd say Deceiver is very decent album. Not chugchug fest, electronics that aren't jumping on you after every chorus. No high pitched girly clean vocals, and good screams. It is somehow repetitive, but better than 70% of bands in this genre.

But i see why you are saying that the album bores there certain on the album that are boring for me too but for the most of it its a great refreshing album and TWA just entered the studio today to record their second full length which will not include songs like Dream Catcher..
