The first seven tracks of the album are amazing. I'm finding it difficult to get into the second half.

I definitely prefer their newer sound to the older stuff. This album and Transit Blues are easily my favorites by them.

First listen was really weird and I didn't know how to feel about it, but after a couple of spins I actually really, really enjoyed it.

I like only 2 songs here: Chemical and Please Say No. The rest is not really my cup of tea.

The first time I listened to this, I was extremely disappointed and thought it sucked because it's a big departure from the metalcore sound that they have been for years. But after listening to it a few more times through, it's honestly one of the best albums I've ever heard. It's like nothing I've ever heard. It's weird but in a really really good way. Not all of the songs are great, but the ones that are are amazing. Chemical is definitely one of my favorite songs now, and stuff like Even Though, As Kids, Numb, and Wave of Youth among others are solid as hell too. If you go into it expecting metalcore, then you'll be disappointed, but TDWP set out to prove they're more than just metalcore and this album proves they are a pretty damn good rock band too.

I was the same way. I initially liked The Thread, As Kids, and maybe one more (Even Though maybe?). I kinda dismissed it. Now, I think it's probably their best album and pushes the bar on what a metalcore band can be. I'd rank it in the top 5 albums of 2020 for me personally (the other 4 being Tool, 3TEETH, Lacuna Coil, and Rammstein)
