Biography

Netherlands

The Black Atlantic is an indie rock / folk rock band from the Netherlands formed around singer and songwriter Geert van der Velde. They released their debut album Reverence for Fallen Trees digitally for free (worldwide) on August 21st, 2009. On January 13, 2012 the group released their follow-up EP Darkling, I Listen and toured worldwide. van der Velde is currently working on a follow up album.
