The Belltower were a band lumped into the British shoegazing scene of the early 1990s, despite the fact that they were American. Their lineup featured:

Jody Porter: Vocals & Guitar Britta Phillips: Vocals & Guitar Mark Browning: Bass Nino Dmytryszyn: Drums

The band released a few EPs (Exploration Day, In Hollow, and Flight) and one excellent full-length album, 1992's Popdropper.

  • Saw them supporting Chapterhouse in the very early 90's, the E.P. with Outshine the Sun, Beatnixon Blues, Solstice and Never Going Home on is called "Exploration Day E.P." - still got it on vinyl.
