1. A Swedish band originally formed back in 1996 by Niklas Kvarforth in the city Halmstad. Their lyrical themes are often based on depression, anger, suicide and angst, but also man’s immoral behavior. Their live performances often contain self-mutilation that they invite the audience to take part in.
The band’s name does not refer to the book The Shining or the film based on it, but rather according to Kvarforth, it means “the path to enlightenment”.

    The Katatonia cover is pointless. The only thing that really sounds much different is the intro, because they got rid of the cool delay stuff. Same with the Poets of the Fall cover. I don't know the originals of the other two song but I imagine it's a similar case for them. Boring. If you're gonna do a cover album, at least do the songs in your own way (e.g. A Perfect Circle's Emotive, even if it is a fairly weak album), otherwise just stick these tracks on as bonuses somewhere.
