Profondo Rosso are a 3-piece post-punk band from Sunderland, N.E. England. Formed in 1992 and taking their moniker from the Italian slashflick directed by Dario Argento, the original lineup comprised John Savage, Duncan Garvey and Graeme Watson. Graeme left the band in 1993 to pursue other interests and after a short while Karl Rouleau (Oz) was drafted in to assume drumming responsibilities. Powerful and energetic stage shows gained them popularity on the local scene and attracted the interest of local label Neat Records.
