(2004 – 2007)

There are at least two bands with this name:

1) Phantasmagoria (also known as “magomago (マゴマゴ),” by many of their fans) was a Japanese band, formed in 2004 in Osaka, Japan, by Kisaki, the Executive of Under Code Production, a Visual Kei indies label. Not long after forming, Phantasmagoria’s success was fast-rising with singles like “Material Pain” and “Moonlight Revival”, getting them on the covers of well-known Japanese visual rock magazines like “SHOXX Magazine” and “Cure.”

In 2007, guitarist Iori and drummer Matoi left the band, only to return that same year, when bassist Kisaki announced he would be retiring and the band would end.

Thus disbanding, Phantasmagoria have occasionally reunited for some one-shot lives.

Members:
Vocals: Riku (戮)

Guitar: Jun (JUN)

Guitar: Iori (伊織)

Bass: KISAKI (妃)

Drums: Matoi (纏)

Former member(s):
Drums: Shion (熾苑)

2) Phantasmagoria is a Croatian band, led since the mid-80ies by singer Tomi Phantasma. Well known for their covers “Djevojka od bronce” by Mizar and “Gimme Gimme Gimme” by ABBA, Phantasmagoria’s sound is often labeled as being dark and controversial. Although an actual LP is yet to be released, their music can be found on many compilations.

The band is currently active and plays frequently at local venues and international festivals, those of which include Wave Gotik Treffen and Metal Camp. They have played alongside artists such as Type O Negative, The Mission, Mortiis and In Extremo.
