1. Swedish Heavy Metal band from the 1980’s.
2. British Heavy Metal band from Grantham.
3. In house guitar-based instrumental band for video game developer Psygnosis.
4. Electronica production duo from Northern Virginia.
5. Hardcore band from Zrenjanin, Serbia.
6. Hair metal band from Split, Croatia.
7. Late 1980s new beat act from the Netherlands.
8. Rock band from Pakistan in the 90’s:
Overdrive is avowed as one of the heaviest acts in Pakistan during 1993-1995 era. Their critically acclaimed single ‘Zameen’ pulverized rockers all over the country and procured rave reviews from critics and fans alike. At that time anyone who even remotely inclined towards rock was nattering about Overdrive based on that single. Unfortunately they could not endure their odyssey due to absence of media patronage for rock music at that time.
Overdrive just announced their official re-union from Toronto, Canada this time and realesed their debut “Anarchist Growl” on 01.01.05.
Anarchist Growl was recorded in 1994 with:
Vocals: Faisal Butt (Except Zameen By Salman)
Guitars: Akbar Qureshi
Drums: Rowdy
Bass: Tabish Ahmed

*** There are at least 5 different bands with the name Overdrive! *** The longest serving ones being the English NWOBHM band, founded 1977 and still active (album "On Wizard Ridge" etc.), the most popular being the Swedish metal band, founded 1980 and also still active (album "Swords And Axes" etc.). I've seen both of them live :-). Also there is one band from Argentina, one from Virginia/USA and apparently at least one non-rock music act. I hope this helps.
