OBLIVION DUST is a Japanese rock band founded in 1996, which remained active untill 2001. In that short space of time they released 5 albums and 11 singles. Their sound is very influenced by early 90’s american bands, like Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails, but with a trademark sonority that makes the band very unique.
Their final line-up in that period consisted of:
Ken Lloyd (vocals)
Kaz Iwaike (guitar)
Masaru Yoshida (guitar, formerly support guitar)
Rikiji Masuda (bass)
Souta Furuton (drums)
In September 2007 Ken, Kaz and Rikiji reunited and performed at a couple of concerts in Japan, when a new Oblivion Dust album was announced to come. This album is planned to be released in January 2008 along with a bonus DVD containing footage from those concerts.
During the Oblivion Dust hiatus, most - if not all - of the members continued to work in the music industry. Notably, both Kaz and Furuton have backed up Hyde and Ken Lloyd founded a band called FAKE? along with INORAN.

I have to agree with snowo and Kuro-kage these guys are THE BEST EVER you don't find a band like this everyday if not ever, there rare, there simple unique and just amazing the feelings going through me when I first heard of them woo I never felt so...alive before...man there entire album Oblivion Dust is the only one I own and I gotta say it's one of my all time favorite albums. I think that Oblivion Dust, from beginning to end in 2003 (or whenever it was they disbanded), was incredible. The first two FAKE? albums were great. After that, FAKE? began to blow (especially the non-Inoran releases). The new OD album after the revival was garbage, and I didn't care for the last single either. I think maybe it is good producers that Ken Lloyd needs. Hopefully Youth will straighten this out with the next FAKE? release.

Don't get me wrong, Ken Lloyd is a beast, I love his music, but when listening to the older stuff, it becomes apparent that something is going on, or rather, something is "not" going on.
