French oldschool EBM/electro act from Paris with :Wumpscut:ish voice.
Very little information can be found about them, except for their Versus with Tamtrum.
2004, Florian of LOK-8 seems to be part of the band Synokaide, as well as the Nihil me baby collective (http://nihilmebaby.free.fr).
But after one demo the band split up.
2006, LOK-8 plan to reform on live nov11 with same old Guillaume as a live bass guitar player. LOK-8 will play with Punish Yourself in the Paris aera.

LOK-8 is a new electro-industrial band. The only current member is Florian Gayrel but two additional musicians will join him very soon for live performances. This solo concept is the work of a 23 years old French sound engineer.
Biography
LOK-8 was born in 2000 with the recording of a first demo called « One Track Mind ». This Lp contained 9 tracks of electro industrial music. This demo got a nice welcome from the underground, but LOK-8 was not satisfied with the result of this attempt. However it was not the first try for Florian who recorded two demos for his first band called VORE (industrial rock band in the vein of NiN) in 1997 and 1998. After that VORE split in 1999, Florian started to write new tracks exclusively for himself without the help of guitar or bass. This new direction led him to go further in the electronic sound experimentation. He began with 6 anarchist live playing tracks in a demo cd called « Alone » under the nickname of « VORIEN 412 ».These tracks were released exlusively online. A year later « one track Mind » marked the beginning of a new way for Florian who decided to adopt the nickname of « LOK-8 ».
In March - April 2002, LOK-8 wrote and recorded his second Lp « Soulless » a new 8 tracks album which for the first time succeeded in satisfy Florian enough and make him decide that the time had come to send his work to the music Labels. So here is « Soulless » including a bonus track from the first Lp « One track Mind ».
Chronology
1996 : Creation of the industrial rock band « VORE ». The band was composed of four members : two guitar palyers, a bass player and Florian as the singer, and main composer. Two Lp released in 1997 (Hungry) and 1998 (Assoul).
1999 : Split of VORE. Florian decided to keep on alone under the nickname of VORIEN 412. First 6 tracks demo « Alone » cd released.
2000 : « VORIEN 412 » became « LOK-8 » and the first Lp « One track mind » was released
2002 : The second Lp « Soulless » is waiting to be released.
