In 1969, Dayton, Ohio native Stephen Shockley formed the Young Underground after exiting the Monterreys. Vocalist Mark Woods, who was a member of the local band the Nomads, joined up with Shockley to form a more mature-sounding Young Underground.     too bad in recent years there has been a clash going on between the original members (Stephen Shockley, Marvin Craig, Fred Alexander...) and Mark Wood. on FB they continuously accuse each other of stealing ideas and who is the most original from the very beginning... it just don't go with their legacy, hope it won't go like this forever...
