Love their playful inventiveness. Don't usually pay much attention to drums, but the drumming here is simply wicked! An all around great band

@beketaten, you totally got it, couldn't agree more with that, both ways are rad, whether playful or cerebral, and this guys are in the first one with occasional visits to the second.

Very different music. The chord progressions are similar and the lead singers sound kind of similar, but Komeda is more lounge and bubblegum (which are both very good things) and Stereolab is more psychedelic and drone-y (which are also good things.) In short, both bands are very good in different ways, and that's totally acceptable.

They are definitely different than stereolab (IMO). Monster drumming and generally a little more joyful. Can't imagine Stereolab doing a song like curious.

Komeda is a different genre than Stereolab. Their vocalists sound alike, that's all.

I don't think Komeda sounds like Stereolab, it's quite more pop, happy and less complicated than the groop. Despite that, looks like that almost everybody that is into Stereolab is into Komeda too. I like both. If I had to choose between them I would choose Stereolab without even think about it, but Komeda is fine in my book too.

ish..if combustible edison and stereolab got togather n made a baby it would sound like this. not sure what it's look like. prolly like this. it would smell like pickles. i prolly shouldn't refer to the music baby as 'it'. its a baby.

komedas style is different from stereolab and, imho, they have very unique pop songs, less psychedelic touch than stereolab, less synthie parts...but you can say they are stereolab-influenced!?
