The band started recording their first long play album during autumn 1981. The record was originally supposed to be produced by the band members themselves with the assistance of Dušan "Spira" Mihajlović, however, Mihajlović soon left the recording sessions so the album recordings were produced only with the help of Mile "Pile" Miletić and Goran Vejvoda. VIS Idoli (often only Idoli) was a New-Wave / Pop-Art band, officially founded on 1st of March 1980 in Belgrade, Serbia (than part of SFR Yugoslavia) The line-up included three primary school friends: Vlada Divljan, Zdenko Kolar, and drummer Boža Jovanović as well as Divljan's high school friends Srđan Šaper and Nebojša Krstić.
