Gioachino Antonio Rossini (February 29, 1792 – November 13, 1868) was an Italian musical composer who wrote more than 30 operas as well as sacred music and chamber music. His best known works include Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), and Guillaume Tell (William Tell) (the end of the overture is popularly known for being the signature tune for The Lone Ranger).

His real birth name was Giovacchino, that is a cuter form of Giovanni (John), so both Gioachino and Gioacchino are variants from the same name. Please note that here in Italy Gioacchino (with two C) is a real and proper name, but Gioachino (with one C) is a dialectal form: here you can see there are a lot of Gioacchino and just one Gioachino (Rossini). So, fundamentally, IMHHHO there isn't a problem using Gioacchino (with two C).
