Biography
Excited States is a band consisting of Beaty Wilson (formerly of Fivehead), Alex Livingstone (Grand Champeen, One Mississippi) and Andy Thompson.
The band formed in 2009 with John Hunt on bass (also formerly of Fivehead), played some shows around Austin, and recorded the song "Imaginary Enemies" for a compilation. Hunt then left temporarily to live in Germany.
In early 2010, Alex Livingstone took over on bass and the band began recording their debut full length LP in Summer 2011.
The band cites wide-ranging influences such as Drive Like Jehu, The Kinks, Fugazi, and Pavement.
