Tyler, Texas, United States

Eisley is an band from Tyler, Texas, United States. Eisley consists of four siblings: Sherri Bemis, Stacy King , Chauntelle D’Agostino and Weston DuPree — and their cousin, Garron DuPree.

The band began as an after-church endeavor when the DuPrees were young. The band was named Moss Eisley, after the Star Wars city Mos Eisley, but for legal reasons the “Moss” was dropped officially when they announced their tour opening for Coldplay. Now they’re all grown up and have both headlined and opened for bands such as (but not limited to): Taking Back Sunday, Coldplay, Switchfoot, Snow Patrol, Brand New, Vedera, Mutemath, The Myriad, Hot Hot Heat and New Found Glory, and Say Anything, in which Sherri DuPree married lead singer Max Bemis. Featuring ethereal, soaring harmonies and dreamy imagery, Eisley has a sound all their own. They are, however, not without comparison or influence. Their sound echoes to and artists such as Cocteau Twins or Mazzy Star and to contemporary acts such as Denali.

The Valley and Currents are tied for my favorite albums. Eisley makes such beautiful and well-written music. I can't get enough. I love that they're a family with one common passion, and I absolutely adore Sherri. She's a role model for sure. Great band.

it really bums me out that basically any indie pop/rock female vocalist gets compared to paramore... eisley, tancred/jess abbott. funny too because hayley sounds nothing like anyone else imo.

When I listened to Currents for the first time, I was disappointed. Nothing struck me, I found the album to be boring. But I love Eisley so I sat down and stepped away from any distractions and really listened to the album a second time. And I was captivated. It is truly a breath taking album, probably their best work to date. It doesn't smack you in the face with catchy hooks, but the mixture of dreamy instrumentals and ethereal vocal melodies transcends me to another place. Congratulations, Eisley, you've really found your true sound.

I'm seriously trying to find another indie rock band with female vocalists that's as good as them, but I can't find any... The only band I've found yet, that I liked too, was "Now, Now". So... any other suggestions?

They sound nothing alike, but there's no need to trash Paramore either. I like 'em both.

I don't like Paramore either, that's why I put the word 'awful' in there too. But I'll give Eisley a second chance, then.
