Baalslayer
This album is a gem. By far the best thing this band ever did. The song structures are quite short and simplistic, but they create a very atmospheric, wintery atmosphere here that they would never quite reach again (although they would come close on "Eternal Winter's Prophecy" and "Chaos Born").

But, I do think this gives some influence to Cryptic Wintermoon's first album "The Age of Cataclysm", in which this album came out a year before.

It's not amazing because, it does nothing lyrically and musically to take Melodic Black Metal on a higher degree. It's more along the lines of "listenable"
