Biography
Born Ruffians released their first album under their current name in 2006. The self-titled EP was followed by the 2008 release of ”Red, Yellow & Blue”. Their sophomore album was critically well received, earning an Independent Music Awards nomination for Pop/Rock Album of the year. In 2010, Born Ruffians released their second full-length album, ”Say It”.
In April of 2013, the band released their latest LP, titled ”Birthmarks”, with Yep Roc and Paper Bag Records. They are currently touring in support of the album.

Can I get that new album now? I don't know what kind of haterade yall sippin on, but dat Needle track is straight fire!! Straight monkey bananas, yo. Yeah, it's Fleet Foxy, but it's kind of Shins-y as well. NEITHER IS INTRINSICALLY A BAD THING. "They sound like band x" does not translate into "It sucks." They didn't lose 100% of their originality, they just copped an influence. It's a bouncy and fun track, and yall need to comme des fuckdown.

Born Ruffians rejected Vampire Weekend comparisons so violently that they turned into Fleet Foxes. I hope Needle is the worst song off the new album... for the sake of my enjoyment.
