Biography

Formed in the suburbs of Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, Bleed From Within have always delivered a devastating mix of melody and brutality through their music.

Songs that echo the personal experiences of band members, and others that relate to the current state of society, resonate with a loyal group of fans who have stood by the band through thick and thin.

Following their formation in 2005, and a self-released debut EP in 2007, Bleed From Within hit the road to expand their fanbase and prepare themselves for the process of writing their debut album, one that would help them stand out in a music scene that is often accused of being generic and repetitive.

The band eventually signed for Rising Records, which gave them a platform from which to distribute their music. In late 2009, after a blinding set at Donington’s Download festival, the album Humanity was released.

The first single, Servants Of Divinity, has been viewed nearly two million times on YouTube and gained the band a widespread following. Several extensive tours of the UK and mainland Europe followed, and the album was embraced by fans and critics alike, securing their position as a force to be reckoned with in the UK metal scene.

Saw that these guys are supporting megadeth in the uk, looked at some of the absolute trash related bands which put me right off but gave 'em a try and they sound pretty solid, miles better than generic deathcore praise the lord, another band to check out.

I wrote this off as being a generic deathcore band for years, but this is actually pretty decent stuff. Much better than Suicide Silence, that's for sure.

Do you really care what genre they are? I don't. Just listen and enjoy the music. I've been following this kind of music since I was about 16 years old. I've hear quite a lot of bands like this by now. I have to say Empire impressed me in many ways. I'm not sure if Uprising does. Sure it's good. It has the elements I really love with Bleed From Within. The really groovy and technical riffs. In some songs they really shine, like e.g. Our Divide. But it kind of stops right there. I feel like I've heard it all before, either from other bands or on Empire. From Humanity to Empire they made man really huge improvements. I can't say the same goes from Empire to Uprising. Pity. I still think they are great and I sure as hell will see them live if they come to Norway. But I hoped for a bit more progression and experimental touches to this record. It's a 5/10 at best imo.

For me .they are metalcore with groove and some little deathcore influences, but metalcore! Not deathcore
