Shelters is the closest thing we will ever get to a new Bear vs. Shark record, and I am here for it. Even on it's own, it's quite a solid record, perfectly melding chaotic vocals, raw punk rock and ethereal tidbits

whaaaaat i was devastated after bvs disbanded. haven't really been able to find anything similar since 2005 and I just stumbled on this page today and immediately bought and downloaded "of gold" without listening to anything first and I'm quite pleased. hearing Marc singing new material in a similar vein was a real treat.

Less like BVS and more like Wildcatting fronted by Marc. Not bad, but not the same.

I am beside myself with how fucking awesome The Hustle is. I'm so glad I found out about this band today and I am pissed it wasn't sooner. [2] Honestly, there has been a serious void in my life since BVS split up, this offers some serious relief.

they aren't really that similar to any of the artists in the charts, musically...it's all just based on what the majority of listeners have in common and how much they listen to those bands, you should all know how similar artist charts are formed by now, it's been argued about on almost every shoutbox on last.fm

...and it isn't THAT far away from the BvsS-Sound either. After a few listens I must say that "Of Gold" is really great and it got the potential for beeing on my "top albums in 2010"-list at the end of the year. I like the partially funky Vibes (afterwards it makes even more sense that they covered some Talking Heads Songs i guess), the use of Banjo and the overall craziness on the Album. Danceable Music with Vocals from Marc Paffi is pure awesomeness!

There are only about 100 copies left of the first pressing on vinyl. If you want one, you should act soon! Details on the second pressing coming soon.
