Biography

There are three artists that go by AI.

1) AI (植村 Carina 愛, Ai Carina Uemura) was born in LA 1981 to a Japanese father and half Japanese half Italian-American mother. Having spent her childhood in her father’s hometown, Kagoshima Japan, AI moved to LA on her own to be trained as a professional performer. At the age of 17, AI performed as a dancer for Janet Jackson’s promo video “GO DEEP”, and signed with BMG to make her debut in Japan. Four years later, in 2003, AI signed with Def Jam Japan.

2) 悪AI意 A Japanese Hardcore band signed to Bloodsucker Records, based in Japan.

3) Ai is a Swedish pop group that competed in Melodifestivalen 1999 with the song “Bilder Av Dig”. They also released a pop album the same year with the singles “In Rain And Sunshine”, “I Want You” and “When The Rain Is Falling Down”. Members: Helena Hellqvist, Malin Holmgren, Anna Suatan, Josefine Sundström and Claudia Unda.
