7 Seconds is an American hardcore punk band from Reno, Nevada, USA. Formed on January 17, 1980 by two sets of brothers: the Marvelli brothers, Kevin Seconds and Steve Youth, in combination with the Borghino brothers, Tom Munist and Dim Menace. In 1981, Munist and Menace left to form Section 8. Kevin, Steve, and drummer Troy Mowat (who joined in 1982) remained the core of the band for most of the next 26 years, with various guitarists rotating through the band. In 2018, Kevin announced that the band was breaking up, mainly due to medical and personal issues that were effecting Steve and Troy. However, the band resumed touring in 2022. The current line-up is Kevin Seconds, Steve Youth, guitarist Bobby Adams, and drummer Sammy Siegler.
