Still got post Glastonbury blues... and welly burn on my newly muscular calves. Pretty pissed off at myself for getting so drunk sunday night I pretty much couldn't move from my tent. Still, I was close enough to hear The Streets at John Peel... Highlights for me were probably Pulp and Wu Tang Clan... And as ever, West Holts managed to introduce some previously unheard gems to my musical radar.

Queens of the Stone Age were a phenomenal closing act - the best I've seen them! Other highlights were Coldplay, Pulp (Jarvis' audience chats in between songs were hilarious), U2, Radiohead, Biffy, Warpaint, The Pierces, Jimmy Eat World... basically it was my first time at the festival and I loved it!

I LOVED Bright Eyes. Conor was a much more confident performer than the last time I saw him and they played enough of the back catalogue to keep fans happy.

I do mean at The Park, funnily enough these are the first positive words I've heard about Impala playing that set. Message boards in general seem to be flagging them up as the dud off the weekend

i thort Lee Scratch Perry was sick!! and being crazy made it even better, plus the sound was realy good, unlike Wu-Tang, who were realy good, it was no fault of their own other than the terrible sound at the pyramid stage. worst thing i saw was The Kills, dont know anything about them, just happened to be there and thort it was rubbish. didnt see anything else bad, but then i did only watched about 3 or 4 acts each day

Ke$ha was genuinely good! Knew Fleet Foxes wouldn't be good on that stage and everything I've seen has told me I was right. Bright Eyes were absolutely stunning! Paul Simon was a tad disappointing for a distinct lack of S&G songs, but was still enjoyable. I definitely preferred Don McLean, though.

Also Pulp was up there with the best shows I've ever seen, even in clear daylight in a festival slot. Jarvis Cocker has to win some kind of award for most charismatic/funny frontman. And I lost my shit thaat they actually played Like a Friend, no one around me up front seemed to know it but seeing as it's my favorite Pulp song, that moment was fucking magical for me. Shame I missed Wu-Tang by the sounds of it but I did have fun at Wombats, TV on the Radio would probably be my runner-up along with Crystal Castles (even if their set got cut short and they started late). Lowlight - Unfortunately - Graham Coxon, one of my favorite men in music but his solo stuff is just so goddamn boring, he's a fantastic guitarist but a pretty poor songwriter and while I like some stuff like Freakin Out and All Over Me, his Spinning Top stuff was shit. Good festival, still carrying around my mudcaked rucksack, Glasto won't let me go.

Didn't make it down to the West Holts! You missed out as once again the West Holts had a disproportionately huge number of highlights on it! Not to mention it was the only field you could sit down on Saturday (after we raided the straw supplies and used them on the field as opposed to the intended stalls, whoops ;))

I forgot the Kaisers! People may knock them, but people such as Bono could learn a few things from Ricky in getting a festival crowd going.

I had a great time as usual, but the last 2 have been disappointing or below par. I also noticed a distinct change in the demographic attending and the atmosphere wasn't quite as a hot as usual. Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, Raghu Dixit, Pulp, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age and Gaslight Anthem were particular highlights for me. U2 were not bad, but in my opinion they hardly set the world on fire. The weather really didn't help, but unlike Chris Martin et al, they didn't do much to get the crowd on their side. Annoyed I didn't make it down to West Holts; I had free pints of Brothers to use!

Absolute lowlight...waiting for Sway on The Hub and cos of him being a bit late/other sets dragging on they just cancelled his set. Can't believe I didn't get to see my #1 act of the weekend.

KT Tunstall, Queens of the Stone Age and Flogging Molly kicked immense amounts of ass with all their sets. Really wish Pendulum had been headlining though, they could've done with a longer set and being at night, although what they did do was impressive, plus it sucked that Crystal Castles had to cut their set short due to technical problems. Must say there was also great sets by Chase & Status, Cage the Elephant, Friendly Fires, Laura Marling, Metronomy and B.B. King.

Well that was fun wasn't it! Couldn't stand Friday night though if I'm honest! Sorry I didn't turn up to the meet, I didn't have my phone on me most the festival and was gunning it alone the majority of the time (way it should be done) when I turned up the Cider bus it was 5.30pm!!! :( Anyways! Highlights: Janelle Monae.... probably one of the best gigs I have ever witnessed Big Boi, Grouplove, DJ Yodas AV Show, Feeding The Fish, Narasirato, Patrick Wolf, BB King, Wu Tang Clan, Pulled Apart By Horses, John Grant, Hercules & Love Affair, Jamie Woon, Hidden Orchestra, Andrew Maxwell, Mitch Benn, DJ Shadow, Aloe Blacc & Abandonman... who were amazingly hilarious and did a hip-hopera about my life ^.^
