Puds left this [artist]Apparat[/artist] album on my iDisk. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you helping yourself, and I think you'd like it. Quite MoM in places.

Ha, you really are keeping tabs on me :) 177 tracks since yesterday morning. Not all that many for me, really. ;-)

Ha, the music has still been playing. But I went straight to my fella's place after work yesterday so haven't been home to scrobble yet. There'll be no catching up for you my friend! ;-)

Both your shouts just turned up at once! My shoutbox is a random old place sometimes!

In retrospect I'm thinking that Can album might be a nice companion to the new Radiohead.

I certainly did pass out with my music on - thank goodness for the Recent Tracks' delete feature. ;)

Well, this is all rather exciting (although not too great for your post-rock credentials, perhaps). And yes, my 'weekly neighbours' list is still showing the same Madonna-fixated bunch of losers* as last week. (*take this comment with a knowing wink, and the fact that I have woken up EXTREMELY AND RANDOMLY ANGRY this morning.)

Aw thanks! No cause for alarm really, Party Shuffle put 'Cry' and 'Don't Cry' together and I saw the other one further down so thought they would all have 'fun' together. Ain't you nice! :) As for AvP-Rv2 (heh) I listened to both volumes together when you first compiled them, and am now saving a re-listen to v2 for just when I need it most. Tomorrow at work seems likely!

It was really great. Big psychedelic swirl of sound and light. I heard that Interpol+Liars did some weird improv stuff -- catch any of that?

I just ordered that (disc) last night actually, I am having problems with adding music to my harddrives, so I may have to get a new machine soon, I will keep that in mind when I finally get to enjoy it, though

Good idea, I'll try that now, ta. I'm pretty sure those logs are just the computer talking to itself. I usually leave it on all night, and the fan was going when I woke up today, think maybe it started doing something at bedtime and got all recursive when sleep mode kicked in.

Oscar Peterson, how lovely! I was dropping by with a Mac question. All my memory DISAPPEARED overnight! Have rummaged around the folders to work out why, the offending file is under Macintosh HD/Library/Logs/Console/501 and is called console.log.1, weighing in at a mighty 44GB. All the other logs in that folder are about 4KB - do you think I can safely delete it? Thanks!

Perfect antidote to the back-to-work blues, thanks! Meanwhile, :-D and heh, I certainly do reap the musical benefits of living on my own & forcing everyone at work to listen to my choons :)

Hi Brad - just popping an [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_crumble]apple crumble[/url] in the oven, I know you like hearing about British food. :) Anyway, Wikipedia says: In the Southern United States, a well-known controversy has ensued for generations over whether cobbler should be served hot or cold. Can you offer your opinion on this controversy?

oh blimey yes! It's almost like Murderers is an initial sketch from which the painting would eventually be developed.

...in other radiohead news, I was on the bus home today, listening to the album and playing iPod Tetris, when [track artist=Radiohead]Jigsaw Falling Into Place[/track] came on. I had to smile. I mean, their lyrics are so obscure it COULD be about Tetris, couldn't it!

...and I think the fact that they make the electronic elements sound so natural in that context is part of what makes it special.

Random radiohead thoughts: [track artist=Radiohead]Faust Arp[/track] reminds me a lot of [artist]Nick Drake[/artist], and [track artist=Radiohead]House of Cards[/track] reminds me a bit of (a much sadder & darker) [artist]Fleetwood Mac[/artist]. Overall the production is very intimate 60s/70s soft rock, with all the hard stereo separation, and that feeling that they're in the room with you.

Brad you must be psychic, I was thinking of asking you the very same question this afternoon! For me it's [track artist=Radiohead]Reckoner[/track]. But it's all SO GOOD!

I never finished my music degree, well I barely started it really. But I did get very high marks in an exam once going on about [artist]Béla Bartók[/artist]'s string quartets. I bet your sister likes those, that's some of the best string writing of the century.

Hahaha what the hell? I clicked on your name to get your profile but was instead sent [url=http://www.onedump.com/show.php?id=3b8d3a5d0f9df8dcdaa745b6f9483dc1]here[/url]! Anyway, I'm really a little weird about 'In rainbows'. I think it's great, but it seems so... conservative for Radiohead's standards. Or something. It doesn't really step out of modesty which I'm kind of used to when it comes to

Clinic were supporting Radiohead the first time I saw them live, you know. Although I only got there in time for the main show. And when I finally saw Clinic last year, that's when I discovered Magnetophone.

Thank god! I've been too scared to ask where it had got to, in case it sent you postal. I think it's subtle and complex and beautiful. Have listened five times in 24 hours, which I just DON'T DO! Is also spectacular on weed, but that might potentially be frowned upon at work. :)
