…and the optimistic view of the Greek music scene continues. After Straighthate , now it’s time for SUN OF NOTHING to prove that Greece is able to produce something different than black and epic metal bands. almost four years have passed from the critically acclaimed from all the underground scene debut “… And Voices, Words, Faces Complete The Dream…” and during them there were some unfortunate problems with the band’s line-up . SUN OF NOTHING seem to have overcome all the problems that they had and their big absence from the recording procedure, because the new album “…In The Weak And The Wounded” shows that the band is stronger than ever. They sound more focused, bonded and powerful for sure. The combination of sludge, drone doom, black metal not only in a primitive but also in an experimental way like Ved Buens Ende, and moments of early Isis and Neurosis are still here in a more majestic, nihilistic and tortured aura .And all of these are enforced by the excellent production and of course by the shredding vocals of Ilias.
Alright!! To avoid any kind of accusation for promoting Greek bands because I’m Greek, I stop writing more. Just a challenge for you guys. Try this “ugly”, “uncomfortable”, “sick” piece of music and you will certainly be the winner, but be careful because it demands a very strong stomach!
