My least favorite. I can’t say I hate it at all but Rutherford’s attempts at lead guitar here aren’t up to par. That feels unfair to say but he did improve his style quickly.

This is a very underrated album. I mean, I always though the 1976 duo of albums with Phil on lead vocals were always underrated but this one is even more. It's beautiful, has awesome compositions (especially on the keys - Mr. Banks strikes again!). Just an overall great record.

This album is a mixed bag for me. The opening track 'Down and out' is amazing. The song almost feels like a mix between prog rock and prog metal. The other tracs on side A are all good/great songs. Burning rope has to be my favorite. The lady lies is the only interesting song from side b IMO. Best tracks imo: Down and out, Burning rope and The lady lies

Yes you can say it : it is downright romantic ! Beautiful tasteful piano playing by Banks. Least favourite is Scenes from a night's dream. All the others are gems.

This is a great album and has stood the test of time! Down and Out and Undertow are especially incredible songs but the overall standard of all the songs is very high as you would expect from Genesis.
