Biography
Rising in 1998 from the ashes of fade, a seminal Boston goth-pop band, the members of chromavoid have begun to draw on a wider variety of life experiences. This is reflected in the diversity of their music, show casing a versatile, mature style that combines electronic music with intricate guitar and keyboard textures. Combined with deep, evocative lyrics, chromavoid’s music transcends simple categorization. "Chromavoid comes off as a unique, refreshing entry. While they use drum machines and other tricks of the electronica trade, the energy and spirit portrayed in their live act quickly eliminates any comparisons with faceless, soulless knob twiddlers." - Cris Concepcion (dj lucien, radio babson) Theirs is a sound as unique as the people within the band. Vocal duties are shared by Mark Mcgettrick (guitar/programming), and Carrie Ingber (synthesizers/programming). The live show is flushed out with the additions of Marc Locascio (bass), and alex buskey (guitar, loops, synth). All these combined elements serve to create lush and enveloping soundscapes, mercilessly drawing the listener in.
