Nochiura Natsumi (後浦なつみ) was a Japanese pop group formed in 2004. They were a unit under the Hello! Project idol umbrella featuring three soloists: Natsumi Abe (安倍なつみ), Maki Goto (後藤真希), and Aya Matsuura (松浦亜弥).
The group's name was a mash-up of the names of its members. Nochi being "後" another reading of Goto's "Go", ura being "浦" from Matsuura, and Natsumi "なつみ" written in hiragana like Abe's name.
They released just one single near the end of 2004. A month later at the end of November, Abe was suspended from Hello! Project for a plagiarism scandal, and the group was put on hold. Goto and Matsuura made scheduled group appearances without her. In early 2005, Abe's suspension ended and the group held a concert tour. This was a first for a one-shot Hello! Project group such as this, especially as they only had two original songs. To make up for it, the group performed songs from other Hello! Project artists such as Melon Kinenbi (メロン記念日) and Morning Musume (モーニング娘。), the latter of which Abe and Goto had been members of. They also performed their own solo songs as part of the set.
As all three members went on to join DEF.DIVA later that year, Nochiura Natsumi was effectively over as of late 2005. Goto has since graduated from Hello! Project, but Abe and Matsuura continue their solo careers.
