I don't think I've seen anyone with 'super' musical compatibility yet. You must steal my mp3's when I sleep.

Yeah, this is true about cats sleeping all the time. Must be a good life for them. Plus they sleep in some of the coolest places. lol

Yeah, I know what you mean about the title name. Sounds like someone is a bit of an egoist, lol. Nothing really, this is my first Christmas away from everyone, so it will probably be a quiet one. Oh, well this may be the last time I have the fortune to have a quiet relaxing Christmas. Well, I guess I'm not completely alone, as I have a pet cat, but she seems to sleep 95% of the time anyways. So alone, not exactly, but quiet, guaranteed. haha

I know he returned a few years back, I think he had a song called "Everybody wants to be like me" but I never really paid it much attention. Thanks, any big plans for Christmas/New Years?

haha, yeah, definitely not like Nick Cave. His music is acoustic and very mellow and somewhat sad, he only made three albums while he was alive and died around the age of 25 or 26. Here's his song "Northern Sky" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znmGyzgmVcA

Well, they should definitely both be "you" :P Sure, at least the Velvet Underground song will be, but I think so with Nick Drake, when you get into his music one often finds themself thinking "how have I not heard this yet?" =]

It's quite amazing really that like you said just being nice can make a difference. So when we as people think we can't make a difference that couldn't be furthermore from the truth. However I think people immediately think of making a difference on a grand scale, rather than start out small. Every change starts at a grassroots level. I don't know how much of a bookworm you are, but a real great book I read not too long ago was by this author Stuart Wild. It's called "Infinite Self: 33 Steps to Reclaiming your Inner Power." It was a very strong uplifitng book, not only with philosophies and putting everyday events into perspective, but he also uses timley and witty humor to convey his message of changing for the better by starting with ourselves, but not just on a mental and physical level but also at an infinite oneness, as in we are connected to everything else as one.

Well, to stay positive is always a good thing no doubt about that. To do so in this state of the world can be hard, but positivity spreads. Your positivity can reach other people, just like negativity, and if we are to make a change in the world, it starts and ends with positivity. I find that I try to follow as much as I can, and I also find that since I've been reading or reasearching events of modern history, I am instnatly pulled into that world. I'd escape, but I can't. Maybe I don't want to either. If I'm aware, than that's one more person aware of the atrocities which plague our everyday way of life. As you can see, I could go on and on. :P

I never really cared for Ringo's singing, and probably never will. But as a drummer, some of his stuff in the Beatles was almost revolutionary. Not really the technicality, but just the unorthodox style he often played. John was definitely the most political one, and as being quite interested in human politics for the last five or six years, I really took to John Lennon that much more.

Yeah, it can be difficult and sometimes frustrating when I try to keep track of a band whose had 50 members and is always constantly changing them. It gets to the point where their music is good enough for me, who cares who they are, they'll be replaced anyways!! haha I didn't even notice The Beatles in your charts :P Who's your favorite Beatle? I love all of them, but John is always my favorite.

After Hours is a great short but sweet pop song sang by Maureen Tucker, I think it's also the only track that she sang on in the VU. =]

Well, I finally got around to checking out the Underground of the Velvet kind. Listened to their first 4 albums. Definitely liked "The Velvet Underground" and "Loaded" the best. I know you just know their greatest hits album, so you might not be completely familiar with the album names, but those two albums I found the most accessible. Their first two "Velvet Underground & Nico" and "White Light/White Heat" had bright moments, but some of their more obscure stuff, and guitar feedback was a little too much to really truly appreciate. However there were definitely some stellar tracks on those two. Sunday Morning, Heroin, Here She Comes Now, After Hours, Who Loves The Sun and Oh! Sweet Nuthin' are definitely in heavy rotation with me. Cheers =]
