Yeah it is quite miserable and yes maybe if you're feeling a bit gloomy :P but then for that kinda music it is good I believe. Faith is more melancholy and Pornography is more aggressive. I sent you a track from Faith, I mean, I suppose the general rawness of the sound, the prominent percussion and the lyrical imagery all give it a kinda interesting style for me. Still, as far as dark material goes, it is no Joy Division.

Thank you for those songs, many of them do count for electronica I reckon and some electropop, which is all good. That Washed Out is fairly shoegazey actually - the more lush melodic kind. I'm sort of compiling an electronica and shoegaze playlist at the moment, maybe they'll come to something one day :P

:) yeah it's cool, whenever you are ready. I've been trying to find some goood electronic albumss recently because I have this feeling there must be more than I have discovered so far, considering the vastness of the genre. Ah well, nothing for it but to keep plumbing the depths I suppose.

Ahh but then how do you justify liking all the other stuff flaming lips did apart from just sing... would you have enjoyed that so much without the zorbing, confetti, lights, giant hands, random orange dancers, making monkey noises..... would it have been the same if he'd just stood and sang... poor little darwin, he just wants to dance!! let him dance for you!! I defo wouldn't be up for driving 300 miles to see him though, even if he does dance like billy elliott.

Did you see that song? I liked their set... he said in a really little voice "thank you for coming to see us, now i'd like to dance for you". They're touring Bristol and Exeter if you fancy seeing again.

i was very in to the smiths and also the cure during my dark derby days... ha ha. used to walk around the city at lunch time listening to "i was looking for a job and then i found a job, but heaven knows i'm miserable now...." ha ha....i like the way it is sooo incredibly depressing and wallowing in self pity - it makes me smile!
