I found that having less artists make me focus on their music a lot more than having more artists with greater variety but less plays. An album only clicks after so many times of listening to it. To be exact, i am still finding new things in stuff i have been listening to for years. A few scrobbles from one artist won't net me much in terms of enjoyment of their work. And life is too short for me to waste time trying to expand my tastes on things i might not enjoy if not enough time is given to appreciate an album. That is not to say that i don't enjoy finding new stuff out every now and then. For me, less is more. I had a lot more artists before i did a reset on my charts. I also listen to music outside my PC/Phone, so that kinda factors in too. Hope that answers your question.

I don't remember very well, I think it was on some site about 60s rarities (although the Lyd album was released in '70 if I remember correctly...). I also found another great band that way, that you may or may not have heard but should probably check out if you haven't, namely The Churchills. By the way, you have some very interesting charts. I see you have 186 plays of The Ex, and I'm trying to get into them because of a collaboration I heard from Andy Moor and DJ /Rupture, so if you think there's an album I should start with I'm all ears.

In the Woods ken ik welzeker! Sterker nog, ik heb al hun albums op cd... heb er alleen best een lange tijd niet naar geluisterd. Overigens vind ik zowel hun eerdere als latere albums prachtig... nummers als Generally More Worried than Married (Strange in Stereo), of Karmakosmik (Three Time Seven on a Pilgrimage) zijn gewoon geweldig. En de cover van Epitaph evenaart het origineel van King Crimson zelfs...

I am from Scotland but I don't like to talk about it. Are you familiar with my attempt to create a "living" version of a new Ubu play - Ubu Betrayed http://www.last.fm/group/%27pataphysics/forum/106396/_/469164 I cannot of course compare with the dear fellow Alfred Jarry but I found it an interesting project. I have since had to leave the group for Bureacratic reasons. I believe that a new schism is currently underway in the group 'pataphysic?

Thanks for the invite. I see you've listened quite a bit to Debussy. Know of any good CD collections of his works? I'm lost when buying classical music.

To be honest, i lost track of their releases after "Phoenix" apart from the odd track here and there. Must investigate further one day. I saw them live the very last time they toured the US. A great show indeed.
