Wishing you a nice Sunday, please check your recent scrobbles from Youtube, they haven't the correct artist/track info - the youtube videos get transmitted as https - youtube.com/devicesupport. The reason for this bug is here. I really hope you don't get a too bad mood by this error.

It it done. [group]Technical gothic metal[/group] has been created. Spread the word, then we get lots of members and we can have fun and parties all the time.

Yeah, I was worried that it might been a bit shit (stoner doom + folk metal didn't really seem like a fusion that would be pulled off well), but it was pretty damn good. Kinda had an Agalloch vibe at times, although maybe that's just me.

I'm partial to "Technical Goth Metal", but that's only because I'm a big goth metal fag.

Proud NOT to be like You-Know-Who is a pretty bannable name, I'm actually surprised that it wasn't deleted until now. I've still been trying to think of an awesome name for that other spiritual successor group that I should totally have made already, but I'm stumped.

What do we call the group, then? We need a super-duper-awesome name, otherwise we'll suck.

I guess I'm just a bit paranoid after ZombiPowder's ban(s), if that was Trash's doing. We're calling it "The Kingdom of Happiness", then?

I don't know if giving it a less bannable name would work; Trash would probably report it anyway.

Today, the world has seen the loss of one of the greatest last.fm groups to ever walk the face of it. Proud NOT to be Like Trash73 was not on this earth for long, but during its short time alive, it inspired countless hundreds of last.fm users to see who the real villains of our day and age are, and it also cheered up the lives of many others with much hilarity and pointless internet posturing, including both those who hated Trash73 and those who (somehow) loved him. Just as the group was proud not to be like Trash73, we - the remaining former members of the group - were proud to have been part of it, and to see it grow just as a mother sees her child grow. R.I.P.

Metality
That bothers me as well! AllMusic, for instance, lists all the metal genres under "pop/rock". >_> Surely U2's 'Beautiful Day' and Septic Flesh's 'Lovecraft's Death' are different enough to warrant seperate sections? At least as much as Johnny Cash deserves to be in a seperate section to The Blues Brothers?

Metality
It's essentially a blanket term. While it used to be like saying "I like Volvo", it's now more like saying "I like cars". It's an incredibly varied "genre", and I don't know a single person who likes all of the subgenres (and sub-subgenres... and sub-sub-subgenres) within. Some of Breakin Benjamin's stuff classify as alternative METAL, and then we have "brutal" death metal bands like Hour of Penance. And then there's stoner metal. And of course power metal. These have extremely little in common with each other. So, nowadays -- and actually since years back -- saying you're a "metalhead" doesn't REALLY suffice unless you really do like it all or almost; it will, for most, require further specification if you want people to know not just what bands you like, but what genres within the so-called "genre"... The boundaries are vanishing. Too much goes under that one name.

Was fucking awesome. The moment I heard the intro riff of Life, I knew the show was going to be badass.

I had no clue what you were on about until I saw the 0.5 score on sputnikmusic. Revolver gave it album of the year though. :P Not that I care all that much what professionals and critics think. The album is still instantly recognizable as a Korn album (despite the bass and drums parts not being used), and that's all that matters to me.

I find the one with the deathcore-esque name to be kind of good, though their vocalist sounds retarded. The other two, eh.

What's funny? The interview where J.Davis states: “We were dubstep before there was dubstep. Tempos at 140 with half-time drums, huge bassed-out riffs. We used to bring out 120 subwoofers and line them across the whole front of the stage, 60 subs per side. We were all about the bass.”
