Early Psychedelic Rock, Proto-Punk, Ska Punk and Irish folk punk, early Proto-Heavy Metal and Power Metal and early Proto-Hard Rock, punkabilly and rockabilly, Proto-Glam and rapcore Early southern rock like Molly Hatchet even makes an appearance. True early blues (the real deal, not that white wannabee crap) goes here. As well as funk metal and dubmetal.
The Crossover genre which at times represents the blend of punk vs metal, however, the most modern genre with these two influences on a harder level is metalcore. Metalcore is said to be a blend of extreme metal and hardcore punk.
