Atmospheric Black Metal for me, has the essence of Ambient BM but it is more "eventful", not Ambient enough... When I think of Ambient BM I think of bands like Wolves in The Throne Room, Xasthur, Leviathan, Striborg, Battle Dagorath, The Eye, Marblebog, etc. When I think of Atmospheric Black I think of these kinds of bands: Brocken Moon, Negura Bunget, Drudkh, Angantyr, Darkestrah, Nae'blis, Svartthron, etc. But I think it's open for/to speculation/interpretation/your own opinion.
