Supreme ritual BM! An influence here: http://portentuk.bandcamp.com/ New EP out. Mid paced BM from the UK. Also might appeal to fans of Ved Buens Ende, Code, Misery's Omen, Virus, Mortuus Greek and French BM...

It's a mistake to leave out the orchestral parts. They created are high tension which I miss on "Der freiwillige Bettler".

If Gargantua and Pantagruel were turned into a existentialist musical, this would be the soundtrack (2)

Perfect music for heavy brews. Obviously you don't skip the atmospheric parts, if you have any kind of attention span.

""More black metal, less ambient/classical/minimalist/whatever" - - Becuz you only liekz teh riffs? Ambijunt be boring to u? - Liked Geist Ist Teufel, the CoO-split and V,NG the most. But there still isn't anything I plainly dislike by them. The split with CB wasn't very appealing, though. It stands closest to "dislike" for now." - Ambient is fine, when I'm in the mood, and I like Urfaust's black metal more than their ambient.

@hailmarduk666: orchestral parts are classical fragments which are stolen but anyway excellent.

I agree Midgetviolence! Urfaust is awesome when sober but if you're intoxicated the music gets to another level!

I really can't think of anything more mesmerizing than listening to Urfaust while severly intoxicated.
