I first heard of Klao DNA from PDX Noise Fest at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He may or may not have been performing the show the year I attended(it was the loudest show I have ever been to and I had to leave at a certain decibel level) but he was on a compilation disk I scored from a booth. After a week of aural recovery klao DNA - binary was the first album I heard with my newfound respect for experimental music. It motivated me to start a 'band' and strongly influenced my own aesthetic; it still gets play in my house today. I'm glad to see that klao DNA is still releasing new material and that he defies genre classification; he will be remembered warmly as a DeeJay's DJ and a musician's musician. I'm sure he has a special track for you too.
