not-I is a DJ, producer, MC and mash-up artist (bootlegger) specializing in hip-hop, rock and soul mixed with alternative, electronic, and world music.
His most familiar production is “Feel All Apologies”, a mash-up of Blackalicious and Nirvana which was listed as one of www.culturebully.com ‘s favorite mash-ups of 2006.
He recently released The Shinobi EP, a seven-track multi-genre collection of songs from the Ninja Tune catalog mixed with rock, pop and rap vocals, as well as MashAnthology, a double LP of his collected early mash-ups.
His most recent track is the U.S. election themed mash-up ”Change The Hate”, which features Jill Scott, Talib Kweli, Rage Against The Machine and Barack Obama.
