Biography
Born just a little more than a quarter of a century ago, Zilo Groove comes to the music industry with a diverse background. While his parents come from Cameroon, West Africa, Zilo grew up in Paris, London and New York. With a busy diplomat father whose assignments took him to several countries, he had no other choice but to follow the lead of his family and travel around the world. Naturally, his music and visuals are a reflection of all his experiences throughout the planet.
He is a versatile DJ, a talented music producer and performer who also makes documentaries, films and videos. In addition to performing live with his posse, the Wela G. Crew, Zilo Groove loves to DJ House, Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, Native African, Afro Beat, Electronica, Acid Jazz, Latin, Dance Hall, Reggae and Dub. He first started his entry in the mainstream music business as a freelance bass player for several recording artists and later embarked on his own journey. He taught himself how to play the guitar and the keyboard and started producing his own records by collaborating with many artists. You can visit the audio section to taste his hot beats. Zilo assumes responsibility for most of the instrumentation and uses guest vocalists for some of the tracks. Some of his albums are already on sale and new ones are coming.
