“Turban” is a hard-hitting, bass-heavy track from Yeat’s breakthrough album, Up 2 Më. The song’s title refers to the cloth Yeat frequently wears around his neck and face, which he compares to a turban–a headdress, consisting of a long length of cotton or silk wound around a cap or the head, typically worn by Muslims, Sikhs, and taxi drivers.
On July 28, 2021, Yeat previewed his song Turban on a Instagram live, later on that became one of his biggest songs.
“Turban” is one of Yeat’s most streamed songs, and, after gaining online popularity, its instrumental was featured in a Nike commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods in May 2022.
