The Triplett Twins In the late 60’s, Leon and Levi Triplett rose from the south side of Chicago to flex their Soul prowess as artists, writers and producers. Their influence contributed to the legendary Chicago Soul sound, working with luminaries such as Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler (The Impressions). The Twins would go on to become staff writers for The Brunswick Label, writing for the likes of Jackie Wilson, The Chi-Lites and Tyrone Davis. .

The Triplett Twins were an American soul/funk duo. "The Triplett Twins, Leon and Levi, grew up performing in Ida B. Wells, a public housing project on Chicago’s south side. They have been regarded as one of the most unique and exciting singing and acting duos to appear before audiences in the U.S., Europe and Canada. The recording 'Weekend Madness' is a back-to-basics R&B, Blues and Pop sound, that’s a mixture of Afro-rhythms with heavy bass. It has the Marvin Gaye’ sound with Blues changes, it debuted the Triplett Record Corporation."
