Biography
The Mono Jacks is an alternative rock band from Bucharest, Romania. Started by Doru Trăscău (vox/ guitar) in 2008, the quartet currently includes Cristian Chiru (bass), Andrei Zamfir (guitar) and John Ciurea (drums).
Known for their energetic performances and contagious live chemistry, the 4-piece took to the stages of most local festivals, as well as the likes of EXIT (RS), Sziget (HU) and Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL).
The Mono Jacks’ catalogue covers ‘Now in Stereo’ (2010) LP, ‘Fortunes’ (2011) and ‘Gandurile Remixed’ (2012) EPs.
They reformed after a concert in May 28th, 2015. Their lineup at the time included Doru Trăscău (voice, guitar), Alex "Grim" Tomescu (bass), Dragoș Strat (guitar), Mihai Popescu (drums).
Former members: Alex Voicu (bass), Andrei Filip (bass), Hasan Nabulsi (bass), Dorian Cazacu (drums), Florin Vasile (guitar/ vox) and Alex Tomescu (bass).
