Mike Crandall grew up in the North Stonington, Connecticu area, home to such greats as Roomful of Blues, High Times, Sugar Ray Norcia and many others. Mike began playing harmonica around age 14 often playing as he walked to and from school. He started first band in the late 1980′s called Joe Vic and the Blues Inhalers and in the mid 90's The Mike Crandall Band.
