Blues

Blues is a vocal and instrumental form of music based on the use of “blue notes.” It emerged in Black communities of the United States from spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads. i think all genres COME from other genres, and a great deal of them are mixed - so it would be quite inaccurate to say blues comes ONLY from folk music. it does have some rockabilly and even jazz influences '-'

typical country fans lol. black spirituals or american black folk music had a big part in the blues genesis. in high school our english teacher tried to tell us rap came from country lol. country music culture tends to exaggerate everything lol but the blues has influenced rock n roll far more than country has hasnt it.
