The Casualties are a punk rock band, formed in the early 1990s in New York, NY. Their first offering was their signature EP “40 0z. Casualty”. It has had an ever-changing cast of musicians with only the lead singer Jorge remaining from the original lineup.
The band’s first demo was recorded in 1990. The band began as an effort to bring back the hardcore punk sound and style of many british hardcore punk bands (also known as uk82) such as Blitz, The Partisans, One Way System and The Exploited. The band is known to have coined the term “spiky-haired drunk punks. ” Although their albums and merchandise were widely distributed through what some consider against Punk values and questionable media, their music and attitude has remained virtually the same and true to their uk82 and oi roots. Die Hards fans of the band from their early stages and those who appreciate the value of their music shrug off the subtleties of their success as their attitudes and loyalties have remained the same in their eyes and are seen as to deserve the success after working so hard at doing what they love.
The Casualties’s assembly consists of:
Jorge - vocals
Jake - guitar
Rick - bass
Meggers - drums

why do people put down punks after they dress crazy for more than a few years...the Exploited, Casualties...I'm hard pressed to think of any crazy lookin band that the punk scene doesn't call sell outs. maybe you should learn how to let people dress how they want. if they wanna stand in the bathroom for an hour who cares. they play the same music as they always did. it's not like Beyonce fans at your high school will be getting into the Casualties any time soon. some of these guys have been doing the same thing since they were 13 and 14 years old. doesn't bother me at all. it's also hard to call our big punk bands like this "sell outs" without saying the same about GBH, Vice Squad, The Ramones, The Plasmatics, and any other band who had MORE prime time TV exposure in USA or the UK they they have.
