Biography
THREAT OF RIOT was born in Rome in 2001 on the ashes of BRIGATE ROZZE a well-known street-punk band. On early times the music was a fast and raw oldschool with some crustish rip-offs and double (male and female) vocals. In that period TOR released a 9 tracks full-length album, “Seasons” which was co-produced by 18 italian labels and distros. Along 4 years and may line-up changes, the band has been working on a sound that keeps an enduring connection with the hc taste, managing at the same time to change and evolve constantly, finding out, step by step, something making it different, let’s say original in one way. This result has been reached through the strong and constant live performances through Italy and Europe and featurings on hc complilations. A split with the Macedonian SXE band FPO was out in 2003. These songs were characterized by a more modern and melodic approach. After the split the line-up changed again, new members contributed improving the sound towards a more mature vision of music. It was a new birth for the band; a strongly metal influenced hardcore with many technical features and screamo vocals.
