There is more than one artist with this name, an Irish folk band as well as a French rock band:

1. Irish jigs abound, as well as some subtle influences from modern rock and jazz. They have been hailed as the greatest folk band in the world today. Formed in 1996, the band’s original lineup consisted of Seamus Egan (flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle/low whistle, guitar, bodhrán), Winifred Horan (fiddle), John Doyle (guitar), John Williams (accordian), and Karan Casey (lead vocals). Over the years, only Egan and Horan have stayed with the band. The current members are now Egan, Horan, Deidre Scanlan (lead vocals), Eamon McElholm (guitar), and Mick McAuley (button accordion/piano accordion, concertina, low whistle, backing vocals).

2. Solas is also the name of a French rock band. The band has so far released one album with the title ‘Viens Sur Moi’ in 2006.

Nah I disagree soaree, "Maire Mhilis Bhrea" would be like 1/4 without her vocals.. and that´s not the only exception.

New album is pretty good. I don't really care for the vocals to be honest, but instrumentally its fantastic.
